About Steve & Eida
Our missions organization:
Ethnos360
We’ve been missionaries since:
April 1982
What we’re doing:
Steve & Eida work with Ethnos360 and our network of Global Partners by translating resource materials into Spanish in order to equip Spanish-speaking cross-cultural church planters working among isolated ethnic groups. The Irwins were first sent out by Branham Lane Church in the summer of 1980 to be trained with New Tribes Mission (the previous name of Ethnos360) with the goal of taking the gospel to unreached people groups. God led them into training Latin American missionaries in Colombia and Mexico. As the number of Spanish-speaking missionaries grew, they were led to work full time on translating materials for language and culture acquisition, literacy, Bible translation, foundational Bible teaching and other resources into Spanish. After having helped promote this international partnership, we’re finding that translation is now being needed both ways, sharing Spanish-language contributions with English speakers as well.
How you can pray for us:
Please pray for financial provision. Our support isn’t really adequate for our living expenses. We need about $1,000/mo more income. Eida has studied Barton Dyslexia Tutoring and is working with her first students, so we’re asking God to build her client base.
