What I’m doing:

Serge’s vision is to see movements of grace reaching all people, renewing all believers, and restoring all things for the world’s good and God’s glory. Their mission statement is: “Laying down our lives together for the Kingdom of Jesus Christ by establishing churches and transforming communities” I am thrilled to participate in this work with my team in Walthamstow, London. I am serving this economically and ethnically diverse community for two years, focusing on reaching the longstanding immigrant population and emerging arts scene with the gospel. I am supporting my team’s local house church and ongoing community initiatives such as Walthamstow’s community garden and food distribution program. I am also exploring unique ways to connect with people and spread the gospel through art. This looks like spending time at the nearby art cafe, making art about my faith in God and building relationships with local artists. As an apprentice I am also going through a discipleship program with Serge and get to meet regularly with a mentor from another Serge team in London.

How you can pray:

Please pray for God to soften the hearts of the residents in Walthamstow to be receptive to the gospel. Please also pray for my team, that God would bless the work of their hands and guide them in each ministry and relationship they pursue for Christ.
