1. Stop and think about what you really hope to gain from the Bible. Do your results line up with what you are hoping for? Why do you think that is?
2. Is there a right way to approach the Bible? If so, what is it?

3. Re-read the text from this week. What is God teaching you? What questions arise?
4. What are some specific ways this passage is being denied right now? Follow the specific ways the authority of the Bible is undermined by those denying it’s clear teaching.
5. Celebrate the specific ways the Bible has been your great gain in life. Call out the various streams you’ve been fed from (teaching, reproof, correction, training).
6. How does this passage inspire you to give or RE-give yourself to the task of learning from the Bible?

7. What is the next step in your growth as a student of the Word? If you are just beginning…GREAT! There is so much more! Reach out for help to discover what it is. If you are pressing on but bored or stuck or in a rut…GET HELP! God has so much love and provision for you right there in your Bible…don’t settle for stale left overs. Ask God to awaken your appetite afresh. If you are pro-level, hungry scholar of the Word…sweet! Keep growing and devouring BUT…remember the caution you already know (because you are reading your Bible so much)- those who knew best often did worst (think Pharisees!). Live what you learn!
