1. Let’s do an exercise, let’s put ourselves in Abraham’s shoes…. Or should I say sandals. What do you think Abraham was thinking during the 3 day journey to the mountain when God told him to go and sacrifice his only son? Allow different people to share their answers.

2. Why do you think God choose a far away place?

3. What do you think helped Abraham to keep walking and get to his destination?

4. Is anyone in your group going through a hardship in their life?

5. Why do you think God is allowing this to happen?

6. When Jesus was praying right before he was taken to be crucified, he told God, not my will but yours. Why do you think he said that?

7. What similarities are there between Abraham’s and Isaac’s journey and Jesus’ journey.
