Group Discussion
3. Which character in a favorite story (book, movie, song, etc) do you identify with most OR inspires you the most? Why?
4. Our text from Sunday teaches the importance of discerning the difference between fake news and reality. What happens when we dismiss Biblical history as myth OR turn myth into history?
5. Why is it hard to keep reading the Bible sometimes? What does it mean that ‘You’ll love the ending’? Read Eph. 2:7 and Romans 8:18-28. Now read verse 28 one more time.
6. As you seek God in the pages (days) of your own story, how do you invite him in to speak to you? How do you live the truth of Hebrews 12:2?
7. Review Zawadi’s story from Sunday. Why is it such a vivid picture of the Gospel in action? How would you re-tell your own story in light of the rescue Jesus provides?
Plan of Action
8. Take time this week to celebrate that in Christ we are invincible. That God is the author and we can rest in that. Invite him in to your story (consider the setting and circumstances that you are experiencing). Let him speak over you the comfort, direction, correction, encouragement that you need.
9. Write out YOUR story in Gospel story language. Live ready to tell what God has done.
