Questions for the Community
Devoted to Learning
- Read Phil. 1:3-11out loud. What do you see?
- Where do people look to find joy? How is this different from Paul’s view of joy?
- Review the 4 points from Sunday. How do these lead us to joy? What are the enemies that keep you from pursuing these?
Devoted to one another
- Why do you need gospel partnerships? Share with one another how some of your most important partnerships began.
- What are some of the problems associated with trying to live out the Christian life apart from community?
- Are you actively investing in both outsiders (our word SHARE) and those in the family of God (our word COMMUNITY)? Which comes easier for you?
Devoted to praying
- Leave your Bible open to Phil. 1:9-11. This is a great passage to guide us in how to pray for one another…it may even grow us in deepening our prayers for one another. Use the time you have with each other to pray through each verse specifically (i.e. read vs. 9 and focus your prayer there; when ready move on to verse 10).
- Draw the green play button and pray through Worship-Community-Share. Let God know you are ready to invest in people who may be in these different categories. Listen to see if there should be focus on one area more than another in this season. Be open to God’s rebuke that one of these may be neglected by you right now and in need of correction.
