How Can Others See Jesus In You? | Cómo Lograr Que Otros Vean A Jesús En Ti?
Have you ever had the experience, where a phrase or an idea has been captivating your heart, and you hear several people mention it at different times? Well, in the last few days I have heard several people say that they want “to be the Jesus that other people can see” and I have not stopped thinking about it. How could this happen? How could another person really see Jesus in you?
I know what you are thinking, it should be something logical and natural for us christians. But if you could ask your children, spouse, your friends, or your co-workers what do you think their answers would be when you ask them if when they see you, they see Jesus? As you might guess, it is not as simple as it seems. I think many of those answers in my case would be difficult to hear. Maybe they don’t see Jesus in you because of how you have treated them on some occasions.
If you allow me, I would like to give you some advice. It is good that we strive to be more like Jesus every day, but I think it would also help ourselves a lot if we made the same effort for us to see Jesus in others. What I mean is that, sometimes the way you see other people determines how you treat them … sometimes we tend to look at the bad, the negative, or the deficiencies of others and that determines our actions towards them and ultimately does not allow us love them in the same way, as Jesus would love them.
The father does it, when He looks at us. He not only looks at us but also sees the face of Jesus in us. He does not see our faults but the sacrifice that Jesus made for us. Galatians 3:27 says that now we are clothed with Christ. If you can see the face of Jesus in others (christians and non-christians) you will be able to treat them with the same love that God treats each of us and then they will see Jesus in you according to how you treat them…. with the same love that God does.
No se si te a sucedido que varias veces escuchas de diferentes personas la misma frase que ha estado cautivando tu corazón? Pues bien, en los últimos días he escuchado a varias personas decir que quieren ser el Jesús que otras personas puedan ver y me he puesto a pensar de como podría ser esto? Como otra persona puede realmente llegar a ver a Jesús en ti.
Ya se lo que estas pensando, debería de ser algo lógico y natural para nosotros los cristianos, pero si pudieras preguntarle a tus hijos, esposa/o, a tus amistades o a tus compañeros de trabajos cual crees que serian sus respuestas al preguntarles si al verte a ti, ven a Jesús? Como veras no es tan sencillo como parece, creo que muchas de esas repuestas en mi caso serian difíciles de escuchar. Tal vez ellos no ven a Jesús en ti por como tu los has tratado en algunas ocasiones.
Si me lo permites, me gustaría darte un consejo, esta bien que nos esforcemos para ser cada día más como Jesús pero creo que también nos ayudaría mucho a nosotros mismos si nos esforzáramos de la misma manera en nosotros ver a Jesús en otros, lo que quiero decir es que a veces la manera en que vez a otras personas determina el trato que le das a ellos… a veces tendemos a mirar lo malo, lo negativo o las deficiencias de otros y eso determina nuestras acciones con ellos y ultimadamente no nos permite amarlos de la misma manera, de como Jesús los amaría.
El padre lo hace, cuando el nos mira no solamente nos mira a nosotros sino también ve el rostro de Jesús en nosotros, el no ve nuestras faltas sino el sacrificio que hizo Jesus por nosotros, Gálatas 3:27 dice que ahora somos revestidos de Cristo. Si tu logras ver el rostro de Jesús en otros (cristianos y no cristianos) lograras tratarlos con el mismo amor que Dios nos trata a cada uno de nosotros y entonces ellos verán a Jesús en ti de acuerdo a como tu los tratas…. con el mismo amor de Dios.
