I was blessed to grow up in a home where Jesus’ love was evident in everything.  This began when I was in third grade when my father became a Christian.  From then on we attended church regularly and were involved at church in many ways.   One of the ways my parents served was to host missionaries that were visiting the church.  These families would come over for dinner and sometimes stay with us for a few days. It was fascinating to me, as a young girl to hear all about what life was like and what God was doing all around the world.

When God’s works are spotlighted in front of you during meals at your own kitchen table, it sparks something inside, and I wanted to be a part of that!  The adventure, the God inspired stories, and people coming to know Jesus who had never heard of him.  People receiving a Bible in their own language (I think I had 2 or 3 in my language) for the first time!  Amazing God stories from what seemed like ordinary people.

God has given me the chance in my lifetime to GO as a missionary and to help send others as missionaries.  Now, as the Director of the NBC GO (Global Outreach) Team, I hope to spotlight our NBC missionaries and give you the opportunity to hear and be excited about what God is doing in the world. Perhaps it will inspire you to go on a mission trip, to give so someone else can go, or to encourage by sending an email to a missionary or someone thinking about missions.

NBC supports 10 missionaries and/or organizations. When you give financially to NBC almost 10% of that goes towards our missionaries and supporting them in their jobs around the world.

Foster the Bay – we partner with them in advocating for foster children
Juan and Alicia Strutton – serving with Catherines Kids Children’s Home, Rosarito Mexico
Paige Drake – serving at Black Forest Academy with Teach Beyond in Kandern, Germany

Tuve la suerte de crecer en un hogar donde el amor de Jesús era evidente en todo. Esto comenzó cuando estaba en tercer grado cuando mi padre se convirtió al cristianismo. Desde entonces asistimos a la iglesia con regularidad y participamos en la iglesia de muchas maneras. Una de las formas en que mis padres sirvieron fue acogiendo a misioneros que visitaban la iglesia. Estas familias venían a cenar y a veces se quedaban con nosotros unos días. Fue fascinante para mí cuando era niña, escuchar todo sobre cómo era la vida y lo que Dios estaba haciendo en todo el mundo.
Cuando las obras de Dios se destacan frente a ti durante las comidas en tu propia mesa, algo se enciende adentro, ¡y yo quería ser parte de eso! La aventura, las historias inspiradas por Dios y la gente que conoció a Jesús que nunca había oído hablar de él. ¡Personas que reciben una Biblia en su propio idioma (creo que tenía 2 o 3 en mi idioma) por primera vez! Increíbles historias de Dios y de lo que parecía ser gente común.
Dios me ha dado la oportunidad en mi vida de IR como misionera y ayudar a enviar a otros. Ahora, como Directora del Equipo de NBC GO (Alcance Global por sus siglas en ingles, Global Outreach), espero destacar a nuestros misioneros de NBC y brindarles la oportunidad de escuchar y emocionarse acerca de lo que Dios está haciendo en el mundo. Quizás te inspire a ir a un viaje misionero, a dar para que alguien más pueda ir, o a animarlo enviando un correo electrónico a un misionero o alguien que esté pensando en misiones.
NBC apoya a 10 misioneros y organizaciones. Cuando donas financieramente a NBC, casi el 10% de ese dinero se destina a nuestros misioneros y los apoya en sus trabajos en todo el mundo.
