Pray, Church! | Oremos, Iglesia!
I recently went on a trip to Yellowstone with my dad and my son Gabriel. On the trip, there were many little things I prayed for – improved weather, a green light, finding a missing item, etc. What struck me was how God consistently answered those prayers with a YES. The rain held back so we could go on the hike we planned. The light stayed green so we could get to the restaurant before it closed. I found the missing item. And through all of this, I was again reminded that God is present. That He cares about the little things. That He answers prayer.
Seeing God answer my little prayers has reignited in me a passion for prayer. Jim Cymbala, in his book Fresh Wind, Fresh Fire says, “The more we pray, the more we sense our need to pray. And the more we sense a need to pray, the more we want to pray.” Brothers and sisters, now is the time to be praying. We NEED to be praying. And there is an added encouragement, accountability, and beauty when we pray together. Join us in prayer!
if my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land. – 2 Chronicles 7:14

Hace poco me fui de viaje a Yellowstone con mi padre y mi hijo Gabriel. En el viaje, oraba por muchas cosas pequeñas: un buen clima, una luz verde, poder encontrar un objeto perdido, etc. Lo que me llamó la atención fue cómo Dios respondió constantemente esas oraciones con un SÍ. La lluvia se contuvo para que pudiéramos ir a la caminata que planeamos. La luz se mantuvo verde para poder llegar al restaurante antes de que cerrara. Encontré por lo que buscaba. Y a pesar de todo esto, nuevamente recordé que Dios está presente. Que se preocupa por las cosas pequeñas. Que contesta las oraciones.
Ver a Dios responder a mis pequeñas oraciones ha reavivado en mí una pasión por la oración. Jim Cymbala, en su libro Fuego Vivo, Viento Fresco dice: “Cuanto más oramos, más sentimos nuestra necesidad de orar. Y cuanto más sentimos la necesidad de orar, más queremos orar”. Hermanos y hermanas, ahora es el momento de orar. NECESITAMOS estar constantemente orando. Y hay un estímulo adicional, responsabilidad y belleza cuando oramos juntos. ¡Únete a nosotros en oración!
