When the Answer is No | Cuando la Respuesta es No
I remember when my son was only a child, every time I said NO! he got quite sentimental, (actually, most of the time he started crying) and then I remembered that I was the same, every time my parents said NO! to me; I thought they didn’t have the slightest idea of what I was going through and that they didn’t understand me… I thought they were wrong and that I was the one who was right. But now that I was a father, I understood how wrong I was, now I understand that they loved me so much that they didn’t want me to do something that would bring me more problems or hurts.
David had a huge desire to build a temple to God, but the answer he got from God was a resounding NO! then David’s response was immediate and what he did is something that you and I can learn from. In 1 Chronicles chap. 17 David responded in the following way: he did not get angry or questioned God, he did not judge or reveal himself against him, and he did not even ask him for an explanation, he simply accepted his will and trusted God, what he did, was to go in front of the presence of God and standing before Him David recalled all the blessings he had received and how good he had been with him and with Israel; what God had done for David reminded him that He always wants the best for us and gave him the confidence to know that God would continue to do so.
If you ever received a NO! from God, remember that He loves you and does not want you to suffer, rather he wants the best for you! (even if we think that this is not the best) Let’s put into practice what the word of God shows us and follow David’s example in trusting God!
Recuerdo que mi hijo cuando era un niño, cada vez que le decía un NO! se ponía bastante sentimental, (en realidad, la mayoría de la veces se ponía a llorar) y entonces recordaba que yo era igual, cada vez que mis padres me decían NO; pensaba que ellos no tenían ni la menor idea de por lo que yo estaba pasando y que no me comprendían… pensaba que ellos estaban equivocados y que yo era el que tenia la razón. Pero ahora que era padre logré comprender que tan equivocado estaba, ahora comprendo que ellos me amaban tanto que no querían que hiciera algo que me fuera a traer mas problemas.
David tenia un deseo enorme de construirle un templo a Dios, mas la respuesta que obtuvo de parte de Dios fue un rotundo NO! Y la respuesta de David no se hizo esperar y lo que el hizo es algo de lo que tu y yo podemos aprender. En 1 de Crónicas cap. 17 David respondió de la siguiente manera: el no se enojo ni cuestiono a Dios, no lo juzgo ni se revelo contra el, y ni siquiera le pidió una explicación, simplemente aceptó su voluntad y confió en Dios, lo que hizo fue ir a la presencia de Dios y estando delante de El recordó todas las bendiciones que había recibido y lo bueno que había sido con el y con Israel; lo que había hecho Dios por David le recordó que El siempre quiere lo mejor para nosotros y le dio la confianza de saber que Dios lo continuaría haciendo.
Si tu alguna vez recibiste un NO! de parte de Dios, recuerda que El te ama y no quiere que sufras, mas bien el quiere lo mejor para ti! Pongamos en practica lo que la palabra de Dios nos muestra y sigamos el ejemplo de David y confiemos en Dios!
